Your Favorite Theme Park Spot

One of my favorite things about going to my home park of Busch Gardens Williamsburg is visiting a hidden, shady spot near Griffon.

I usually grab a drink or a bite to eat and then just sit there in that spot and watch the coaster go by over and over again.

It's a great place to take a break during the middle of the day and watch the gracefulness of one of the best roller coasters on earth.

Outside of Disney, that's one of my favorite spots in any theme park.

For this week's show, EB and I want to know about YOUR favorite spot in a park.

What makes it special?  Why is it a place you visit time and time again?

One of my favorite spots at Busch Gardens Tampa is eating lunch in the outdoor seating area at the Zambia Smokehouse. It's right next to the splashdown pool for the Sheikra roller coaster in the Stanleyville area. It's very well shaded and offers excellent views of Sheikra. Zambia also has a indoor airconditioned dinning room for those hot summer days. The Smokehouse also serves some of the best food I've ever had at an amusement/theme park.

The other is at the Burger Digs in Jurassic Park at Universal's Islands of adventure. The view of the lagoon from the outdoor patio more than makes up for the mediocre food.

Since I'm a Disney dude, I'll give you some favorite Disney food spots... and a Universal food spot too as a bonus!

My very favorite food spot in the Magic Kingdom is Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland. Good counter-service food, and Sonny Eclipse isn't too bad either!

My very favorite food spot in Epcot is the Sunshine Seasons Food Fair in The Land pavilion. It's perfect if you really want to feel good about yourself after you get off the Living WIth The Land boat ride (although I far prefer the skippers myself, I'm sad they removed them)

My very favorite food spot in Disney's Hollywood Studios is the ABC Commissary! It's got trailers for ABC programming to watch while you eat like the stars of your favorite ABC shows do. It's the best restaurant in Hollywood Studios in terms of sheer atmosphere (having not had the pleasure to eat at the Sci-Fi Dine In Restaurant myself).

My very favorite food spot in Animal Kingdom is the Rainforest Cafe by the entrance. I'm a sucker for really good atmosphere, and this restaurant has it in spades. Food isn't that great however, so order an Icee and tread carefully.

And my very favorite food spot in Islands of Adventure is the Comic Strip Cafe in Toon Lagoon. The food isn't anything to write home about, but the atmosphere, especially the cool comic strip decorations on the walls, is amazing. Hopefully they continue to have it as part of the Meal Deal at Universal, because it is a pretty good restaurant at IOA.

One of my favorite spots is at Disney's California Adventure...

...hanging out along the rail at Paradise Bay, sharing a soft-serve cone with my sweetie, watching the launch sequence for California Screamin', and listening to NPH coach the "screamers" for their launch.

It’s a little slice of Coasterradio.com heaven!
