A look ahead to Summer 2011!

Snow is still on the ground in many parts of the country, but it's never too early to talk about the rides that we have to look forward to this summer.

2011 is shaping up to be a great year for the parks!

We' have new dark rides, new roller coasters, new flat rides and a host of other attractions to get excited about.

We're only 9 weekends away from the parks starting to open again.  So, what are you most looking forward to in 2011?

Star Tours 2.0. It's going to have many endings and different places to go. Also it's Star Wars and it's still a cool universal to explore.

Kings Island's Windseeker. Not only will it provide great overhead views of the Beast, Vortex, and the Racer, it also comes with a much-needed complete rennovation of the surrounding Coney Mall area.

It's a close tie between the Green lantern coaster or the new Little Mermaid darkride for me

The thing that I am looking forward to the most in 2011 has to be the New Texas Giant. Not only because it is at my home park, but it's a great revamp to a ride that was feared by a lot of people lately because of the pain of riding. This is awesome addition to SFOT for it's 50 anniversary and even might become a top ten coaster for many enthusiasts.

Cedar Point`s Windseeker. I think this is something to look forward to because it over looks the Sandusky Bay and Lake Erie and it also gives you amazing views of all the rides.

In terms of brand new rides, the "coaster girl" in me is JONESING to ride and marvel at Green Lantern at SFMM. But there are three revamped oldies that are going to be MAJOR coaster goodies in 2011:

1) The Voyage with its new trains
2) Superman: Escape from Krypton
3) Texas Giant

2011 is going to be an awesome year for coasters and I can hardly wait! I'm feeling like a kid counting down the days until Christmas!
