CoasterRadio.com #512 - EB's Candylane Adventure

We begin the first show of 2011 by ringing in the new year with styyllle!

We even have a special guest to help us with the countdown!  Grab your noise maker and a glass of champagne because you won't want to miss it!

Then, EB steps to the microphone to talk about his trip to Hersheypark's Christmas Candylane.  He recently made a trip back to the east coast and took his whole family to Hershey's holiday event.  Was it smooth sailing?  Or did EB run into Grizwald-like problems?

The guys will also discuss the record crowds at both the Florida and California parks during the winter holidays.  Is it worth it to visit the parks during one of the most crowded times of the year?

Plus, we'll hear from several listeners about their New Years Day theme park experiences!

It's good to be the Mike is a reference to History of the World, Part 1, where Mel Brooks says: "it's good to be da king".

Being in MSU's marching band, I was in Orlando for New Year's. I was at Universal on New Year's Eve.

Believe it or not, it wasn't very crowded at all. At the studios park, the longest wait was 25 minutes. At Islands of Adventure, it apparently wasn't too bad either. Harry Potter was about a 30 minute wait to get into the area, with about a 45 minute wait for Forbidden Journey. Dragon's Challenge was a walk-on. Most other rides in the park had very short waits.

I'm not sure as to why this was the case. I'm assuming Disney is the place to go on New Year's Eve.

When I was in Orlando for the same bowl game two years ago, Universal was about the same crowd-wise.

So, a bit of advice...Universal isn't crowded on the 31st.
