What's Missing from Your Home Park?

One of my favorite non-coaster rides is the launch tower from S&S.

I love those things so much, I'll sometimes skip riding one of my favorite roller coasters just to get a few launches up the tower.

The problem is, the nearest S&S Launch Tower is at Dorney Park in Allentown, PA - 201 miles away!

For this week's "Interactive Question," we want to know what's missing from your home park.

For me, it's the Launch Tower.  Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens don't have one.

But how about you?

Your answer doesn't necessarily have to be a ride, either.  It can be a restaurant, a show, a bathroom, etc.

Let us know what you think by joining us on Tuesday, March 29th at 9:30 pm EST at http://live.coasterradio.com.

You'll be able to see and hear us record the show AND we'll give you a special "hotline" phone number that you can use so you can join us live.

Of course, you can still participate in the show through all of the traditional methods.

Send us your answers by posting them right here on the blog by using the "Comments" link below.  You can also e-mail us your answer by using the address over on the right or use our Contact Page!

You can also call our voicemail line at 206-339-3360.

We'll see you LIVE on Tuesday night!

Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. This was such a beloved ride, but also an easy for families. Still don't understand how places like Cedar Point and Magic Mountain were able to keep their suspended coasters like Iron Dragon and Ninja. When BGW comes out with their new coaster for 2012 they should honor by bestowing the Big Bad Wolf name.

Out of all the rides of Disney World history, I still miss Mr. Toad Wild Ride. The ride is still the most unique for it's fast and fun adventure which is different from all the dark rides at Magic Kingdom that tends for slower and more kid family experiences. It's a ride that had the unique ride system for being fast. I only wish Disney could bring it back, but for a new generation in dark ride tech.

I miss the big huge slices of Pizza at Busch Gardens Williamsburg Das Festhaus. I alway's found the cheap rounded microwaveable pizza not the same to that huge N.Y style pizza. I would by pass the other great menu selection just to eat that great large style pizza. But now, I eat the great huge sandwich or ribs then the lack luster cost savings pizza.

I miss all the old school blockbusters at Universal Orlando. Stuff like Ghostbusters Spooktacular, Star Trek The Screen Test Home Video Adventure, Back to the Future ride, and King Kong. I still think those brands are as good today was their were in the past. Theirs not a lot of classic brands at Universal as they should be.

I tell you what's missing at all your home parks. New stuff. Everybody talks about how they miss those old rides or shows, but what about the new stuff. I talking about a Tron ride, A Fast and Furious ride, that crazy Inverted Wooded Coasters, James Bond or Bourne movie stunt shows, coasters that use new tech, land rides that make you throw up. There isn't enough new innovated stuff at the park still.

Over at a place called EPCOT, the one things it's missing rides. Mostly at the World of Showcase. While you can have great dinning experiences at Epcot their not enough attraction for the family or kids at World of Showcase. They need to add some e-ticket rides. Also, Horizon needs the comeback. That ride pretty much sum up Epcot's message. I would love to see the return of Wonders of Life, update Imagination ride, and retool future world to the new modern take of the future.

A lot of the home parks doesn't have enough dark rides. Dark rides are cool, that everybody can ride. That what's missing from everybody's home park.

My home park is Six Flags Great America just north of Chicago, IL. We are pretty well-rounded with the selection of rides (dark, family, flats) as well as our coasters (2 woodies, hyper, flying, impulse, looping, and standup). Sure we don't have a floorless or a dive coaster but what I find is missing that is a traditional symbol of a theme park is a ferris wheel. We used to have the Sky Whirl which was similar but it has been gone for a while now.

It's taken me a while to think about a missing attraction from my home park which is Six Flags Over Texas. I mean we have a nice dark ride, a triple S&S combo tower ;) , good restaurants, and a lot of flat rides. But then I noticed that out of our 13 coasters, 6 of them are clones or have a very similar sibling ( hint Titan). So then I released that the park need a nice large looping coaster like Viper at SFMM or Dominator at KD. The only original looping coaster we have is Shockwave, and I have never thought of it as a large coaster. So anything tall, not a clone, and has more than 2 loops gets a big thumbs up from me!

And P.S. I put a link and info to a ThemeParkChange on my YouTube page :) www.YouTube./coastercrutchfield

What's missing at Busch Gardens Tampa is a decent drop tower from either Intamin or S&S and a dark ride that's similar to Darkastle at BGW or Spiderman at IOA.
