Every theme park fan has that one roller coaster that they've always wanted to ride, but for whatever reason, they've never been able to visit.
For me, it's the Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
I know that it's not the greatest roller coaster in the world, but for me, it's always one that has captured my imagination.
I remember first seeing it as a kid when my dad let me watch "National Lampoon's Vacation." Since then, I've always wanted to get out there to ride the same ride that Rusty and Clark Grizwold rode.
For this week's show, we want to know what is your "elusive roller coaster?"

I have been pretty lucky with what roller coasters I have been on. I would have to say the roller coaster that is elusive to me is going on Intimidator 305 in it's original form. I am not only a fan of roller coasters but NASCAR as well and this is a perfect mix of the two with the grey out in the initial "Talledega turn" after the first drop. I hope the changes being made, does not ruin the integrity of the ride.
ReplyDeleteFor me it's Millenium Force. Not because I feel it's the greatest ride in the world and can never be topped. But because I was feet from riding it several years ago with my family. We went on a huge road-trip and stopped at Cedar Point. I was extremely excited to ride Millenium Force but we kept pushing it off until later in the day. Well later in the day the hot humid heat got to me (I'm from a desert) and I got really sick and wasn't able to ride Millenium Force. Every since then it's be high on my list to get back to Cedar Point to ride it. One day I will.
ReplyDeleteYou know how Walt Disney World has the Triple Mountain Whammy (Space, Splash, and Big Thunder)?
ReplyDeleteMy elusive roller coaster(s) are in the same vein. I am, of course, talking about the Triple Woody Whammy at Holiday World (ding), those coasters being Raven, Legend, and Voyage.
Yep, I've yet to get out to Holiday World, but when I do, those three coasters are coming first.

Hi guys--
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's The Grandfather-- The Coney Island Cyclone. I never seem to be in NY long enough to ride it. But one day, I will catch my White Whale...
Well I've got two and they're the Matterhorn at Disneyland and the Coney Island Cyclone. I'll probably be able to ride the Matterhorn first as I'm a truck driver and I'd have to stay at a hotel nearby that has a truck parking lot large enough for my 18 wheeler and there are currently no hotels in the NYC area that have adequate parking for my large truck.
