Your Ideal Celebrity On-Ride Voice

We've been doing a lot of talking about Neil Patrick Harris lately.

Of course, most of it is because he is the star of our year-long story arc - The Neil Patrick Harris Project.

But this week, he was in the "theme park" news because he has provided the new "launch voice" for California Screamin' at Disney California Adventure.

You can check out the video below to hear NPH in action.

But it got us thinking... if you could match up any actor's voice with any theme park ride, who would you choose and why?

I think there are a lot of interesting combinations that are possible.

This is going to be our "interactive question" for next week's show, so tell us about your "dream match-ups" by leaving a comment on this blog post!

You can also let us know by using Facebook and Twitter. (If you aren't following us there yet, what''s wrong with you?!?!?)

  1. A great celebrity voice-over for a ride, and one that you somewhat mentioned on last week's show, would be Walt Disney! There's tons of audio from his TV pitches of rides that could easily be worked into an existing attraction. It would be great to hear him in an attraction like Spaceship Earth or the Carousel of Progress.

  2. LEGENDARY! - NPH

How about using Christopher Lloyd on the "Dinosaur" ride at Animal Kingdom. Since he got axed when BTTF: The Ride closed, his voice is free for another theme park attraction!

  3. How about Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) from Star Trek: The Next Generation saying to the helm officer "Helm, warp 5. Engage". Then have the coaster launched into a Flight of Fear type coaster.

  4. Here are two:

First, how about Drew Barrymore as the voiceover for Scream at SFMM? She's been a squeam queen, so she would be good to kick off the ride.

Second, Matthew McConaughy would be a great voice over for Texas Giant at SFOT. You just don't get more Texas than him!

  5. Stephen Colbert doing the voice-over for the Great Bear at Hershey would be great and ironic considering he always considers bears the number one threat to America.

  6. I think it would be awesome/epic for Morgan Freeman to narrate Soarin' Over California
